In Earth as it is in Heaven

Christ taught in His prayer that we are to pray for Godīs will to be done in earth as it is
in heaven:
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13)

Jesus tried in all things to be like His Father in heaven, because that is what God desires:

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know
and have seen him. (John 14:7)

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those
that please him. (John 8:29)

The Father desires all things in earth to be a copy of heaven. Moses received a vision of
the tabernacle from God and gave it to the Israelites to copy because it is a pattern of what
exists in heaven:

Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest,
who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that
this man have somewhat also to offer.
For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer
according to the law: Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as
was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he,
that thou
make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
(Hebrews 8:1-5)

Since all things on earth are a pattern of spiritual things we can learn a great deal about
the next life from what we see around us:

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being
understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they
are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
(Romans 1:20-21)
Many commandments of God seem strange to us because they are a pattern of what exists
heaven. The Jews still do not understand many of the commandments of Moses, such as:

Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou
shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and
woollen come upon thee. (Leviticus 19:19)

Every law in the books of Moses was given to Moses for the purpose of bringing a copy of
heaven to earth. If mankind could keep that perfect law we would have heaven on earth right
now. God cannot live among unholy people. God wants to live among us. Therefore God and all
His servants try to bring the perfection of heaven to earth by obeying the laws given to
Moses and teaching everyone else to do the same:

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
(Matthew 28:19-20)

It is like a man came from a beautiful country full of wisdom, justice and riches and moved
to another country full of ignorance, crime and poverty. He at once tries to convince the
people to change their ways so that their country can be like the place where he came from,
but they are too stubborn and corrupt to want to change. In fact, they try to kill him because
he makes them look bad. This is what happened to Jesus.

Christians and Jews resist and fight against the kingdom of God when they refuse to obey
the commandments of God:

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost:
as your fathers did, so do ye. (Acts 7:51)

All who do not obey Godīs laws and teach other men so are enemies of God:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy,
but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in
no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so,
he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them,
the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:19)

Just because we do not understand the Law completely does not mean it is worthless.
We have not been to heaven and cannot copy it ourselves. We must have faith and trust
in the prophets, Jesus and the apostles . They are the ones whose eyes God opened. We are
blind until God opens our eyes and cannot lead ourselves:

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall
fall into the ditch. (Matthew 15:14)

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee,
of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the
day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my
God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my
words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I
shall command him.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words
which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I
have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods,
even that prophet shall die. (Deuteronomy 18:15-20)

This is the true Christian faith. We cannot see clearly for ourselves but follow the leadership
of holy men whom God chose. We can only judge for ourselves who is holy and who is unholy
by what the results of their teachings are. If their teachings planted into the hearts of
people make them more holy then they are holy men. If their teachings make people more
wicked then they are evil men:

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are
ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or
figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree
bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast
into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Matthew 7:15-20)

Today Christian leaders teach that feminism, homosexuality, self-interest, war,
divorce, racism and many other things are allowable by God inspite of clear teachings in the
Bible to the contrary.  The result has made the people more wicked so therefore these
leaders are evil false prophets who are blind and are leading the world into the ditch.

Always follow someone who sees clearly or you will end up in the ditch, too.

The reason we need to have heaven on earth is to prepare us for heaven in eternity.
We cannot enter heaven unless we are holy and pure:

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in,
and shall not be able. (Luke 13:23-24)

Unless our hearts reach a certain level of perfection (as judged by the Lord) we will not
enter heaven. Nothing filthy can enter heaven to pollute it:

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life,
and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and
whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
(Revelation 22:13-14)
